The Wellness Center
Discover the Refugio Memorial Hospital Wellness Center, where we offer an array of state-of-the-art fitness equipment to meet all your wellness needs. Our knowledgeable staff is here to provide guidance on equipment usage and offer valuable suggestions for optimizing your workouts. The Wellness Center boasts an extensive selection of exercise equipment, a refreshing pool for diversified workouts, a private room for floor exercises, and an indoor miniature track perfect walking indoors.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday to Wednesday: 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Thursday: 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Friday: 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Access to the pool area is available during hours of operation, except during posted Therapy Class times. Please note that there will be no lifeguard on duty. Any closures or reduced hours for holidays and special occasions will be clearly posted for your convenience.

Registration Information:
- Sign-up and Payment:
- Registration will be completed on-site, and all payments are due at the time of registration.
- If you join the membership during a particular month, a pro-rated payment will be calculated for that month. Subsequent fees will be due on the 1st of each month.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, check, or credit card.
- Memberships cannot be “frozen” for periods of non-use, vacations, illness, etc.
- You have the option to cancel your membership at any time.
- Please note that third-party payers will not be accepted. If your insurance covers your monthly fee, you may submit a receipt to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
- Access Control Card:
- Each member will receive a wallet-sized access control card upon registration.
- In case of a lost card, a replacement can be obtained for a fee of $10.00.
- If a member prefers a pendant or keychain access control, they can purchase one for $20.00. The replacement cost for these items will also be $20.00.
- Age Requirement:
- To become a member, individuals must be 17 years of age or older.
- Minors are not allowed access at any time.

Guests & Minors:
- Courtesy Pass for Guests:
- Members have the privilege of bringing out-of-county residents as guests at no charge, utilizing a “Courtesy Pass.”
- A guest must accompany a member and present valid identification showing an out-of-county address.
- Each member is allowed one guest per visit.
- Guests are required to complete a liability waiver before using the facility.
- Please note that no minors are allowed; only registered members aged 17 and older have access to the facility.
Amenities:
- Towels are provided, and lockers are available. However, please bring your own lock.
- Personal belongings should be removed from lockers daily to avoid removal by staff. Locks left overnight will be cut off.
- Shower facilities are available for your convenience.
Dress Code:
- To ensure safety, respect for others, and the cleanliness of the equipment, the following dress code is enforced:
- Appropriate shoes
- Modest shorts or pants
- A shirt
- For pool use, a modest bathing suit is required (cut-off shorts/jeans are not allowed), and we highly recommend pool shoes. Prior to entering the pool, showering (to remove dirt, oil, lotions, and perfumes) is mandatory.
Cancellations:
- You have the flexibility to cancel your membership at any time.
- One month’s membership fee will not be refunded upon cancellation.
- However, for multiple months’ memberships, a refund will be processed with 30 days’ written notice.
- Cancellation requests will be processed by the end of the month they are received.
